ENERCON's Data Center Mission Critical Group is seeking Senior Electrical Engineers specializing in Mechanical and/or Civil/Structural disciplines. These positions are remote and will be a great next step for someone with 6+ years of engineering design experience in data centers and who is proficient with AutoCAD.

In the DCMC division, we work with small and large-scale Data Center and Mission Critical clients. Our clients range from National Laboratories using High Performance Computing for scientific research to the world’s top Fortune 100 technology, communications, enterprise, hyperscale, and colocation companies with high availability demands.

• Prepare error-free engineering documents (e.g., drawings, sketches, instructions, inputs, calculations, analyses, evaluations) according to and bounded by industry codes, standards, and regulations to support client engineering needs
• Generate engineering related documents in accordance with client, ENERCON, adhering to client and ENERCON procedures, processes, specifications, and other company or project directives
• Maintain up to date and relevant knowledge of industry codes and standards, safety culture, and design techniques suitable to the data center industry
• Produce high-quality engineering deliverables in accordance with client and ENERCON procedures that are consistent with project work scopes and client expectations
• Build strong relationships with clients through professional interactions and communications, and through the development of quality engineering products
• Consult with other disciplines to ensure designs are compatible with and have considered all disciplinary requirements
• Travel to sites to interface with client personnel, and to perform walk-downs related to the project work
• Serve as the Responsible Engineer (RE) for discipline scope on projects related to the project work

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Minimum of 6 years of engineering design experience in data centers
• Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems and data centers
• PE License preferred
• Proficient with AutoCAD
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite including, but not limited to, Word and Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams 
• Ability to travel 15%-25%; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks
• Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies
