Our Data Center Mission Critical Group is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to join the team in our Emeryville, CA location, or remote from Columbus OH, or Ashburn, VA. This role involves supporting engineering design and analysis projects for data centers and new building systems. Responsibilities include performing seismic analysis, developing structural designs, and leading projects. Additionally, the role may involve inspections, allow you to create client presentations, and provide collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

• Seismic & Structural Expertise: Ensure safety and resilience with precise seismic and structural analysis, adhering to the latest codes and standards
• Strategic Project Management: Lead projects with vision, fostering collaboration, and delivering cost-effective, high-quality solutions
• Design Precision & Real-World Impact: Develop detailed designs, calculations, and documentation, transforming concepts into executable plans
• Field Excellence & Hands-On Insight: Conduct site inspections and provide practical support to ensure seamless construction and design implementation
• Collaborative Innovation: Work across disciplines to create holistic, forward-thinking solutions that drive engineering excellence

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an engineering role
• Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desired
• Must be able to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word and Excel
• Minimum basic level of proficiency in CAD software
• ETABS software experience strongly preferred
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
• Ability to be a lead responsible engineer for a project involving multi-discipline work
• Must be able to climb ladders and/or stairs at client sites
• Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

• PE License desired, especially California PE License
• SE License desired or plan to attain within 5 years
• M.S. in Structural Engineering preferred
• Prior experience in the design of structures in commercial and critical infrastructure environments is desired

The salary range for this full-time position is below. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
