Overview

Our Chiefs Engineering Group is seeking an Electrical Analysis Engineering Supervisor for our Kennesaw, GA location. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the focal point for initial contact for electrical analysis product development and support, work with responsible division managers, supervisors, PMs, and other internal constituents to define the scope of work
  • Lead proposals preparation for electrical analysis and provide input for scope, budget, and schedule to PMs
  • Collaborate and ensure effective teamwork with other ENERCON groups for customer support, execution of projects, and business development 
  • Promote and market ENERCON’s Electrical Analysis services and the Chief’s specialty engineering capabilities
  • Develop professional relationships with internal and external client counterparts, maintain regular communication and interface for feedback and support opportunities
  • Direct work to the group Leads and ensure balanced assignment of activities
  • Provide intrusive oversight of work being performed to ensure highest quality and efficiency
  • Responsible for approval of engineering documents produced by the team, certifying design documents, evaluations, and calculations as required by state and local client and code requirements
  • Take proactive actions and implement initiatives for continuous improvements and innovation to grow ENERCON’s business in this specialty area
  • Collaborate with recruiting department to implement recruiting plans and hire qualified talent
  • Stay informed of industry trends and developments, including participation in Standards Committees, conferences, and workshops, and presenting technical papers
  • Develop and grow technical expertise through training and mentoring and develop skills for new markets and opportunities
  • Work closely with Training Program management to develop staff’s leadership skills
  • Develop and implement succession plan
  • Provide timely and appropriate performance feedback, coaching, and mentoring
  • Promote professional development, PE license, certifications, etc
  • Implement company policies, procedures, and management expectations
  • Identify processes and innovations for highest quality, efficiency, and cost-saving

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 6+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in the nuclear power industry including leadership roles and at least 2 years experience as a group lead
  • Experience working in a Nuclear Power Plant environment and familiarity with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) governing codes
  • Technical writing proficiency including the ability to write concise, complete, and accurate technical reports
  • Demonstrated and significant experience with electrical power systems software such as ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, and EMTP-RV
  • Excellent oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to interface effectively with peers, technical experts, senior management, and clients to develop solutions and negotiate conflicts
  • Self-motivated with the ability to lead, work in, and create a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have strong organizational skills, with demonstrated competencies in facilitation and decision-making
  • Ability to motivate team and achieve goals through positive, winning attitude and effective leadership style which is consistent with ENERCON’s Defining Excellence fundamentals
  • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites and meet NRC security and client security requirements
  • Ability to travel when required to travel (up to 10% of the time) to client sites for project and/or marketing meetings
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification is strongly preferred
