Overview

Our Nuclear Services Group is looking for Lead Electrical Engineers onsite at Crane Clean Energy Center (formerly TMI 1) in Middletown, PA. In this role, you will coordinate with diverse disciplines, review designs, and manage projects with autonomy. Additionally, you will prepare specs, evaluate bids, and innovate solutions to technical challenges. Responsibilities

This on-site electrical engineering role involves leading impactful projects, collaborating with diverse teams, and driving innovative solutions. Shape the future through design, mentorship, and excellence, ensuring success at every stage of the project.

 

  • Collaboration & Coordination: Understand roles of other disciplines and coordinate/interface with them. Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data
  • Design & Engineering: Prepare design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimates. Prepare calculations/specifications and evaluate technical bids
  • Project Management: Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality with minimal guidance. Direct and oversee technical work and maintain quality standards
  • Problem Solving & Innovation: Devise new approaches to technical problems, with broad industry knowledge. Make recommendations based on knowledge and experience
  • Leadership & Development: Assign tasks, mentor, and coach junior employees. Approve timesheets/expense reports and participate in performance reviews
  • Fieldwork & Client Engagement: Travel for client meetings, field installation, checkout, and start-up

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering experience in the nuclear industry
  • EIT or PE License in one or more states preferred
  • Comfortable and effective communicator with team, clients, management, etc., choosing the right mode of communication for the situation and relaying the right message
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
  • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at this client site
  • Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail
  • Strong coordination and team-building skills; demonstrated ability to work across disciplines, divisions, and teams
  • Ability to motivate team and achieve goals through positive, winning attitude and effective leadership style
  • Problem-solving and general scientific evaluation skills
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Must be able to perform plant walkdowns

This position offers per diem for non local candidates.
