Overview

ENERCON is hiring a Learning and Development Manager. This position will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the learning and development programs that support the strategic objectives of ENERCON. This position will be located in our Kennesaw, GA office location. We offer a hybrid schedule.

ENERCON serves several markets throughout the energy sector, including data centers, mission critical facilities, the federal government, industrial, nuclear power, power delivery, grid infrastructure, power generation, and renewable energy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high quality, effective learning solutions, including leadership development, technical development, and career path training, utilizing a variety of media, such as in-person/instructor-led courses, e-learning modules, micro-learnings, and blended delivery approaches
  • Collaborate with SME’s, partners, and vendors to assess and prioritize training needs, as well as to design, implement, optimize, and evaluate learning programs
  • Provide instructional design expertise for technical content created by business units and SME’s, utilizing a variety of learning methods, modes, and models
  • Maintain all training programs to ensure content remains current, accurate, and effective.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate effectiveness/ROI of training materials, facilitation, and program objectives, updating approaches and curriculum as necessary
  • Supports company strategic initiatives and rollouts through training development and implementation, such as with participant guides, videos, and job aides
  • Oversees New Hire Onboarding training
  • Identifies, evaluates, and manages relationships with vendors, industry, and educational partners
  • Leverages and directs the optimization of learning platforms, utilizing technology to elevate learning experiences
  • Supervises training professionals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, instructional design, or related programs; MS degree preferred
  • 8+ years of leading, developing, and delivering learning and development initiatives with at least 2 years of experience with both the design and delivery of both instructor led and web-based learning and development programs
  • Requires at least 1 year of leadership experience
  • Visual design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva); Ability to Storyboard
  • Demonstrated expertise designing and delivering a wide range of learning programs, including leadership development onboarding, technical development, and career path training
  • Strong background in instructional design and curriculum development, creating engaging and effective learning experiences
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and lead training classes, utilizing a variety of training platforms and methods/multimedia
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a collaborative environment and build trust with internal partners/stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects to completion
  • Solid knowledge of course development software and Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in PowerPoint and intermediate skills in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data driven decisions
  • Ability to travel up to 15% to different offices periodically to facilitate in-person workshops
  • Prefer L&D experience in a consulting services, engineering, or technology company
