Overview

Our Nuclear Services License Renewal Group is seeking a Flow Accelerated Corrosion (FAC) Program Engineer that will be responsible for various technical tasks associated with ensuring the requirements of FAC are met for the Southern Nuclear Fleet. This position can be full time or part time and can be done in Kennesaw, GA, Chattanooga, TN or remotely for a highly experienced candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide FAC expertise to develop long range piping replacement and inspection plans for small bore components
  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analysis in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs
  • Monitor changing regulatory trends and maintain knowledge of industry requirements, guidelines, practices, and industry standards of the nuclear industry within the realm of FAC
  • Develop relationships with current and potential clients technical staff with regular interface to ensure client satisfaction as well as pro-active identification of support opportunities
  • Provide input to project/program work schedule regarding the duration/scope of technical issues and the time/scope/effort involved in resolving them in order to implement project
  • Ensure successful implementation of FAC program such that INPO requirements and license renewal commitments are fulfilled
  • Input FAC inspection data into Iddeal database and perform component updates as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university AND 7+ years of experience in the nuclear industry, or similar experience and technical education. 
  • Minimum 2 years of FAC experience in the nuclear industry
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulations, regulatory agencies, and the regulatory processes supporting design and licensing of nuclear plants including the documentation that supports these processes
  • Must possess knowledge and understanding of nuclear power plant design, and operations
  • Must possess general knowledge of work order planning process and outage scoping process at a nuclear power plant
  • Ability to interface with other site organizations (Chemistry, Design Engineering, Operations, etc.)
  • Ability to represent ENERCON and/or clients at NRC, INPO, ASME and other regulatory agencies meetings and workshops
  • Must have strong organizational and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated competencies in technical writing, facilitation, and decision-making
  • Ability to work in time constraining environment while maintaining a quality product
  • Must be able to work productively with other staff, at all levels, in a team environment
