Overview

ENERCON’s Energy Group (EG) is seeking a Project Manager for our Kennesaw, GA (HQ), Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Orlando, FL office locations. This position may be available for Remote for the right candidate.

 

At ENERCON, the Project Manager is the one who is ultimately responsible for the success of a project. The Project Manager will understand the scope of work, be able to work with and guide the project team, and will be the main point of contact for the client. 

Responsibilities

ENERCON’s Energy Group (EG) provides engineering support to industrial facilities, traditional fossil and hydropower generation facilities, and alternative, renewable, and sustainable power generation facilities, such as solar or alternative fuels. EG focuses on green energy solutions that achieve large-scale production with minimal environmental impacts.

  • Ability to be considerate and courteous to clients and teammates, while working with an unwavering zeal to provide highest level service to our clients
  • Lead projects while working with technical colleagues to develop winning and highly detailed engineering proposals
  • Develop Project Work Plans, Risk Management Plans, Communication Plans, and Work Breakdown Structures
  • Responsible for development of project schedule, execution of schedule, reporting on schedule, preparing recovery schedules and re-baselining schedules
  • Understand complex scheduling tools including earned value management and reporting processes
  • Effectively own and run periodic project meetings
  • Support internal and client work standards and schedules
  • Manage engineers and designers as well as supervise sub-contractor personnel to ensure client deliverables meet quality standards, schedules, and technical requirements
  • Learn and adopt ENERCON’s procedures and use of project management tools
  • Communicate policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to project team members
  • Analyze financial health of projects and report out key metrics on projects, internally and externally
  • Support group with communication regarding resource management
  • Foster and maintain working relations with assigned clients and act as a single point of contact for assigned projects
  • Manage client interactions and negotiate / control project scope to client and the company's satisfaction
  • Support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation and follow-up
  • Travel to client facilities for current and future projects
  • Responsible for the planning, implementation, management, performance, and supervision of client contracts

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a technical industry
  • Bachelor's Degree -OR- PMP Certification and 4 years' applicable experience
  • Skilled in cost / workhour estimating and proposal development and review
  • Capable of reporting on and managing scope, schedule, and cost for multiple projects executing simultaneously
  • Knowledge in earned value management and progress reporting
  • Experienced in contract and non-disclosure agreement language development and review
  • Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes
  • Strong coordination and team building skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills
  • Ability to read and write technically and coherently
  • Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams
  • Working knowledge of MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel between 10%-15% of the time which may include fieldwork; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs.
