Overview

ENERCON’s Data Center Mission Critical Group is seeking a 3D Staff Designer to join the team based in one of our various office locations across the U.S. Join our dynamic engineering team as an experienced designer/drafter and elevate your career by creating and refining detailed drawings, conducting site walkdowns, and collaborating closely with engineers. You'll utilize advanced tools like REVIT and INVENTOR, adhere to strict quality and safety standards, and mentor junior team members, all while working on diverse and exciting projects. Responsibilities

As a 3D Staff Designer, your day is a dynamic blend of creative problem-solving and technical precision, where you bring designs to life using AutoCAD, REVIT, INVENTOR and cutting-edge BIM tools. Collaborating with engineers and mentoring junior team members, you ensure every project runs smoothly, from detailed drafting to site walkdowns, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

 

  • Engineering Design Mastery: Create and modify detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD, REVIT, and INVENTOR. Prepare comprehensive design drawings (layout, detail, piping isometrics, P&ID, and support drawings). Detail the physical design of piping and conduit supports based on schematics (any steel detailing experience is desired)
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Mentor and review the work of other designers/drafters. Work closely with Engineering and designers for design concept interpretation. Communicate effectively with engineers and designers
  • Quality & Precision: Conduct self-checks to ensure accuracy and proactively address design issues. Perform internal reviews and clash detection using NAVISWORK, REVIT, and INVENTOR. Display exceptional attention to detail, conducting peer checks to maintain high standards
  • Innovation & Efficiency: Meet applied time goals set for position/discipline. Leverage 3D space and BIM tools for effective design management. Create and modify REVIT/INVENTOR families to integrate into designs
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow all organizational, departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives. Understand and adhere to AutoCAD national standards
  • Client & Field Engagement: Perform walkdowns at client sites and generate detailed reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field with a minimum of 2 years of design engineering experience
    • OR Associates Degree in related field with minimum 6 years of design engineering experience
    • OR minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Proficient with both 2D and 3D design software, AutoCAD, REVIT, and INVENTOR is required; NAVISWORKS, Creo, and Bluebeam recommended
  • Working knowledge of basic engineering techniques, principals, standards, and concepts for assigned engineering discipline; competent in the basic concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to various aspects of design
  • Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs

Salary Range

The salary range for this full-time position is below. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.#LI-KM1

Pay Range

USD $81,700.00 - USD $116,150.00 /Yr.
