What responsibilities will I have in this role? (including but are not limited to):
- Parametric Modeling & Point cloud manipulation
- 3D environment creation/collaboration
- Create and/or modify detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software.
- Work directly with Engineering to interpret red line drawing markups for development or revision.
- Utilize and correctly apply ENERCON and client CAD standards.
- Self-check created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final design.
- Modify and revise drawings as necessary to correct deficiencies.
- Follow all organizational and area/departmental procedures, client procedures, safety policies and directives.
- Work under the supervision of the Design & Drafting Supervisor, engineers, or more experienced designers.
- Assist in performing a variety of routine assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques.
- Apply basic formulas, principles and practices, and use acquired knowledge of fundamental drafting/design concepts and practices.
What qualifications/skills will help you be successful in this role?
- Associate’s degree with an emphasis in drafting & design or related field.
- Proficiency with 3D parametric modeling software including (but not limited to)
- Autodesk Plant3D, Smart Plant, Revit, Inventor, or SolidWorks or similar.
- Proficient understanding of design software such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs as applicable.
- Ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.
- Understand and follow all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives.
- Experience conducting self-checks of created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product.
- Work independently of engineers but confer with engineers and other designers for design concept interpretation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others (Engineers, Designers, Project Managers) in a multi- disciplined project team environment to resolve design and drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications / skills:
- 2-3 years of drafting & design experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of 3D Modeling/Design practices using (but not limited to) software such as Revit, Plant 3D, Smart Plant, Solid Works, and Inventor
- Experience working in the Nuclear, Utilities, or Power Industry a plus.

The salary range for this full-time position is $49,600-$74,400. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
