Overview

Our Environmental Licensing and GIS group is seeking a GIS Analyst to join the team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support various disciplines within ENERCON with cartographic, drafting, and GIS data management, as well as support nuclear licensing projects nationwide. This role can be located in one of the following locations:

  • Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta)
  • Atlanta Midtown, GA

  • Other office locations may be considered

Responsibilities

This role harnesses the power of GIS to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights. From mapping and database management to research and technical writing, it supports critical decision-making in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment—where precision, creativity, and impact come together.

  • Data Management: Utilize ArcGIS software to manipulate data in a raster and vector-based geospatial environment. Create, maintain, and update databases using GIS, computer-aided drafting, and other software

  • Mapping & Visualization: Develop cartographic products to facilitate information exchange and support permitting and licensing actions. Develop field data collection forms, web dashboards and applications, and data management

  • Research & Reporting: Perform land use, socioeconomic, and demographic research, and draft technical content in support of nuclear licensing applications. Perform quantitative/qualitative research and analysis of public and field-collected data

  • Productivity & Time Management: Develop quality, on-time work products in a fast-paced environment, and strong organizational and personal time management skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or applicable field
  • 2 to 4 years of experience using ArcGIS 10.x, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online, and some experience with utilizing AutoCAD for drafting and creating .dwg files for use in GIS
  • Experience in developing custom ArcGIS Online web applications and dashboards
  • Experience in developing digital field data collection forms and data management
  • Good technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Detail and accuracy oriented and self-motivated
  • Problem solving and general scientific evaluation and research skills
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with MS Office Word/Excel
  • Ability to work independently without immediate local oversight
  • Valid driver’s license and Safe Driving Record
  • Ability to travel; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a week

Pay Range

USD $67,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.

Salary Range Information:

  • If a salary range is listed, it reflects the typical range for this full-time position based on the role, level, and location. Individual compensation within the range will be determined by factors such as work location, relevant experience, job-related skills, and education or training.
